COST
Wild Horse Reservoir is a cost-effective option to increase Aurora Water’s system reliability and resilience. The current (2024) cost of the project is estimated to be $600 million to $800 million dollars and would be split between development (tap) fees and water rates. Most of the project would be funded by development fees, which are based on projected water use, to ensure growth pays for itself. Aurora Water is currently evaluating the most cost-effective way to fund the project.
