Before evaluating the proposed location, Aurora Water engaged Park County officials, demonstrating a commitment to transparency and collaborative planning. Since then, Park County and Aurora Water have continued working together to evaluate options and share information with the South Park community.

Enables Aurora Water to help design and develop a water filling station
The water filling station would serve both the local community and a portion of the workers’ housing for the project.
Enables Aurora Water to develop affordable housing options (i.e., tiny home village, etc.)
Aurora Water is evaluating how to develop some of the needed workers’ housing so that it could potentially be used as affordable housing options after the project is completed.
Creates additional wildlife habitat to complement existing grasslands
